Liverpool:

Record Stores :
There's only really one good record store, which is called Probe Records. It's on Slater St., which is off Bold St., which is the main street which Central Station is on.

Places To Eat :
From Bold St., turn onto Concert St. and follow it through into Conert Square - here (and if you explore the few streets off it) there are numerous good but no overpriced clubs and bars that serve food in the daytime, such as Walkabout, Modo, Mood, The Office, Lloyd's Bar and Arena. My personal favourite is The Office which has great salads for £5, which is very reasonable in this city.

Things To Do :
The best shows are on at the Magnet and the Zanzibar. To get to the Magnet go all the way up Bold St. and keep going when it becomes Fleece St. This in turn becomes Hardman St. and the Magnet is at the top, on the left (if you're coming up the street not down it). To get to the Zanzibar, from Concert Square go up Fleet Street, take the first right (Slater St.) then the first left (Seel St.) and it's on the left a few buildings up). www.magnetliverpool.co.uk // www.thezanzibarclub.co.uk for what's on.

There is a great cinema showing obscure/foreign films called FACT - it is off Bold St. near the top - sorry i don't have an address or directions.

Other :
Liverpool is probably best in the summer, as the dismal weather through much of the winter can make it a very miserable place to be.
